Ir's one thing to rebuke evildoers but it's another thing to enjoy the thought of their ultimate fate. I don't think John the Baptist wanted to see Herod wind up in hell. He wanted him to repent.

Very true, but I admit to having a great deal of difficulty being “sad” over the fate of the 9/11 terrorists who are reaping the fruit of their evil as we speak and will be doing so for all eternity. Perhaps that’s wrong of me, but I can’t help feeling a sense of satisfaction over their fate.
