I just get a kick out of the Palin supporters here. It's a weird phenomenon. I theorize that her supporters see her as a part of their own family...wife, sister, daughter...and that's the way they defend her. It's very personal, like an attack against her is an attack against them. It's fascinating.

It is fascinating. It's an interesting mix of populism and something less wholesome. Some of these folks have so much riding on the persona of this one woman. Evening Star has been keeping a list of all of the people Palin has been compared to: Joan of Arc, George Washington, Esther, and a lot of others.... Some even claim that Sarah Palin has been called by God to take back America.
