The way David Gregory was carrying on during today's Meet The Press, you would have thought that he was irked by Congresswoman Michele Bachmann's revelation of only 105 thousand dollars in secret ObamaCare funding instead of the actual astounding 105 BILLION dollars. A clearly irritated David Gregory kept insisting that he only wanted to stick with "narrow budget questions" and acted increasingly frustrated as Bachmann kept returning to the 105 BILLION dollars of hidden ObamaCare funding that he did not want to even briefly talk about.
Here is a portion of the interview of a clearly upset David Gregory as you can see in this video who obviously did not want to deal in the slightest with Bachmann's revelation which would have been major news to the viewing public as well as a more detailed transcript below the fold:
REP. MICHELE BACHMANN: ...There was a Congressional Research Service report that just was issued in February, and we discovered that secretly, unbeknownst to members of Congress, over $105 billion was hidden in the Obamacare legislation to fund the implementation of Obamacare. This is something that wasn't known. This money was broken up, hidden in various parts of the bills. And we have worked very hard to discover $61 billion in cuts that we could put forward, get to the president. So, in effect, David, we've taken one step forward and two steps back because we've found now that $105 billion had already been implemented.
MR. GREGORY: All right. But that--but, Congresswoman, you heard the president this week offer...

Yep; any time a bureaucracy is created, it sticks like crazy glue - until the original reason for it to have been established in the first place fades into a forgotten memory. - Remember the DEPT. OF ENERGY and the reason for it being established - wasn’t it to do away with our dependence on foreign oil? My, my, that worked like a charm didn’t it?
Magot froma family of magots!
Whatever it takes.
Sixth District Rules!
That's exactly what left-wing guests do when they get air time on a "hostile" show. Oh, and they also filibuster any other guests, and the host, if the host lets them.
I think the same thing.
There isn’t a hairy butt in the bunch.
The only Republicans with balls are Palin and Bachman.
I respectfully disagree. There is no way to answer his questions in a short succinct way. He’s fishing for a soundbite to use against her and conservatives and Tea Party members. He got nothing that didn’t include the $105 Billion fraud. He got nothing. This is what “news” interviews have devolved into. For most of the main stream press, it’s bash conservatives 24/7 and give liberals a pass, nothing more, nothing less.
Federal agencies tend to be useful when they are small. Like the old federal tender board brought some honesty into proration in the East Texas field back in the later 30s. But even there, not so much. a fellow at my church who was running hot oil got by with it by bribing the local head.Got by with it for a long while, till the old guy was transferred. But they had covered their tracks so well that the oil man made a pile in the meanwhile. Very generous with the church he was, but my Dad had no use for him. Years later I asked my Dad why he was so cold to the nice old gent. Then he told me.
I actually wish I could say you're exaggerating, but I can't. You've described the situation accurately.
Sooner or later, one of the MSM "hosts" is going to end an interview, with a conservative guest, by whipping out a pistol and gunning the guest down on-camera, then dare the local DA to convict him/her. With some luck in the local jury pool demographic, they can walk away... and get a better time slot to boot.
They may use a baseball bat instead of a firearm, though. More of an audience pleaser.
From the Article: "`It may be hard to understand why someone would try to jump off a cliff' to solve the debt crisis, [pollster] Mr. [Bill] McInturff said of his fellow Republicans, `unless you understand that they are being chased by a tiger, and that tiger is the tea party.'"
Yes the Tea Party is a "hungry" tiger and it does not matter if the prey are Dem or Pubbie. If they continue to defy the will of the citizens, they will be eaten alive.
We have to get the federal G off our tits for good..
Ha! That’s great!
That’s probably true. He’s a snake... and an ape man.
But what did you think about her dodging the Boehner question? I thought that left an opening for the left to pit Michele and the tea party against the leadership.
That may occur down the line, but I like Boehner, at least until he does something I don’t like.
Quite a cop-out. World to David. . .and the rest of the stinkin Left: the taxpayers are processing it.
Quite a cop-out. World to David. . .and the rest of the stinkin Left: the taxpayers are processing it.
Disgusting. . .Chris tried, howevcer; he really tried.
Indeed; though am beginning to wonder, just how many of our Repubs 'get it'.
Why isn't Boehner, beating the drums as well here. (For that matter, why did not Michelle share this 'discovery' with Repub Leadership; before taking to air waves last week. (She appeared on Hannity with this info - unfortunately, Boehner preceded here.
Michelle allowed she had not discussed this with Noehner; but was not asked why not. This should be a 'Repub issue' - not just a "Michelle' issue. But understand. . .
David Gregory? What’s his last name?
“People like Her doing the work we asked them to do.”
You got it!
“...Boehner and the rest of the GOP are searching for their gonads with both hands and a mirror and coming up empty handed in my non-expert opinion. What do you think?...”
Its time to call for a vote of confidence on Boener and get him gone. Mike Pence is the man !!
VOTE BOEHNER OUT NOW!!
We don’t have much time left and we can’t wait ‘till Nov’12.
