First off, who wears FLIP FLOPS while in prison? Prisoners are often issued platic flip-flops or croc-type slippers to wear to and from the showers and such - cuts down n the spread of fungi and infections. Two bucks for flip flops is much cheaper than treatments for an infected, gangrenous cut on a toe.
