I knew Pastor Barnhart back in the late 1970’s and early 80’s when he waged a war against Lutheran Social Services (LSS) in Minneapolis. LSS was counseling children to masturbate, use pornography and sponsored nude swimming events and other delightful Christian activities. William Seabloom was the mastermind behind the progressive measures and the Lutheran church was backing LSS to the hilt. In the end, LSS back off, Seabloom went bye-bye and, eventually, Barnhart left Trinity Lutheran where he had served many years. Eventually Trinity joined the ELCA and had a massive split including most of their elders (lifetime members). He is quite a man and good soldier.
