Just to point out ... it's not a "victory" until the senate passes it as well, and the governor signs the bill.

What are the odds of that happening?

Chances in the Senate so-so, but they know about 70% of the public favors passage, so they’ll have to go on record, which they haven’t had to prior.

If it gets to the Governor, 100% she’ll sign it. She’s run ads to get the public to call their reps and pressure them to pass.

This, in combination with the first Republican Secretary of State since 1928, bodes well for cleaning up the voting rolls.

At this point, it looks good though. The people of NM overwhelmingly support this.
