The anti-Gaddafi uprising, the bloodiest yet against a long-serving ruler in the Arab world, has knocked out nearly half the country’s daily oil output of 1.6million barrels, the bedrock of its economy.

Fierce fighting raged in five towns and cities yesterday following Friday prayers, with both pro-Gaddafi and rebel forces launching offensives and counter-offensives. Witnesses reported 50 dead and 300 wounded in the key city of Zawiyah, 30 miles west of the capital Tripoli, in an intensive artillery barrage by Gaddafi’s forces on a heavily-populated civilian area.

Rebels destroy their assets? Will they be demanding US help when they have no income?

It might be time to invest in Schlumberger, Haliburton and other oil equipment companies.

Yes, I saw that and threw my shoe at the TV while cussing him out. Screw’em I say. They wanted a “revolution” and now it’s theirs. Not one American serviceman’s life is worth getting involved. In the meantime, DRILL BABY DRILL!!!!!!!

Gosh, I hope so. I hope they have so many investor inquiries that they go out and buy more equipment, hire more people, hire sub contractors and start drilling everywhere they are now allowed. In the meantime, the Republican Congress should intimidate, threaten or otherwise make life miserable for Obama so that drilling bans in Alaska, the Gulf, Bakken, etc. are lifted and we can harvest our own energy for our use.
