A new poll spotlighting the faith community's outlook on the 2012 campaign shows that evangelicals have high views of Mike Huckabee and Sarah Palin, less-than-enthusiastic views of Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney, and low views of President Obama.

SNIP

Among evangelicals, Huckabee's ratings (88 percent favorable, 11 percent unfavorable) led those of Palin (79 percent favorable, 21 percent unfavorable), Gingrich (57 percent/37 percent), Romney (56 percent/29 percent and Ron Paul (51 percent/26 percent). Obama, though, is viewed favorably by only 6 percent of evangelicals. Ninety-four percent view him unfavorably.

The Barna survey was based on interviews with 1,021 adults nationwide Feb. 10-18.

Of course he would. Slowly kill more jobs, more defaulted home loans, more people on welfare.

And then, the dollar crashes and we are done! The chaos, the finger pointing, the panic will kill this nation.

Lord, have mercy on those who trust in you. Amen.

I’m saying if the choice is Huck and Bam there is no choice. If elected, Bam will continue his crap, and if elected, Huck will be the patsy for the left. No difference.

Why wouldn’t they. He is not on our side and we don’t want Muslim laws
in America, which he seems to favor.

But, will they work to defeat him this time?

It would be wise to not run a Rino socialist. It would also be wise to ignore the liberal (aka “moderate”) calls to ignore soical issues like abortion and other human life issues. If they ran on restoring freedom and reigning in homeland security, plus pro life, they would do well with the libertarians and evangelicals.

After the DOMA announcement, it would be surprising if it's over 1%.

I have to wonder how that sits with some in the black community.

Only if the alternmative is better. I’d rather fight an enemy then deal with a so-called friend who isn’t one.

In my evangelical church there were a lot of people that liked Obama. When I spoke to them, it seemed they were politically naive people who thought he was conservative, honest, and not a Washington insider. Not one understood his true position on anything. They were sure I was misinformed, because the press had told them all different things.

There was one woman who argued with me that he “couldn’t be pro choice, he was a Christian”. I kid you not. She was SURE.

I blame the incredible amount of spin coming out of the press. They covered him like they were a branch of the DNC, purposely twisting facts to confuse their readers.

I have been very critical of Palin — BUT - I would gladly vote for her over Huck. If the nominee is Huck, forget it. Kiss America goodbye. Move to Canada- bleed their economy dry. Just don’t expect me to be here and pay for Huck’s idiotic mistakes.

Out of what we have on the list now. None come close to Palin, who will probably not run at this time. So do we let the left pick for us? /s

Wow! That's saying A LOT! I mean, my choice would be Palin over Huckabee (I don't even like his name) but there's no way I would stay home in 2012. At the very least Huckabee has a governorship on his resume which is much more than this clown in the white house has on his.

I would like a survey of black evangelicals.

My brother’s Bible based evangelical church is probably 40% black, 35% white and 25% hispanic.

He still sees some Obama stickers, sadly, in the parking lot....though not as many as before. The preacher doesn’t do much to address social or political issues either. He USED to, then people left the church. He apparently was unnerved.

What has Huck done that you don’t not want him?
Not being feisty. Just don’t keep up with him.

I really don’t like him either. I’m just not sure why.

That 6 percent probably couldn’t spell “evangelical” much less define the term. But there is much support for Obama among people who live “conservative” lives but blindly accept liberal philsophy.

You should realize by now that the press IS a "branch of the DNC", charged with "purposely twisting facts to confuse their readers".

The country is faced with three deadly enemies:

1. Islamofascist terrorists

2. The radical left

3. The mainstream media

And, of these three, the most dangerous and damaging is the MSM. For, without the support of the MSM, the previous two enemies would've been defeated years ago.

I will vote for anybody running against Obama but I sure hope it’s not Mitt. He will have a hard time trying to debate Obama on Obamacare. Obama would LOVE for Mitt to run just so he could say in the debates that he based a lot of Obamacare on Mittcare in Mass.

obama is anti-Israel. “Evangelicals” understand what this means.

At the very least Huckabee has a governorship

And the families of the dead police officers in WA state would disagree. Because the idiotic Mike Huckabee Granted Clemency to Maurice Clemmons ---murders were committed.
