I think it has something to do with when their contracts are up.

That could be. Has Fox made a statement on it?

Because Newt has gave good indication that he wants to run, that’s why. The other Fox commentators are just toying with the notion and haven’t really said either way, yet. When Huck starts a diet, you’ll know he’s in.

Because they know they are not running.

Could be that FNC figured out that its viewers aren’t interested inm what he and Newt have to say.
To: pissant
Gosh Rick, whining is such a great way to prove you have the stuff to be President.

Fox should suspend The Huckster just for being the Huckster. I think he has started losing weight - so he’s in.
To: pissant
Ratings? Anyway, don’t be a whiner, Rick. “Why does Bill get to play a computer game?”

It’s not whinning, it’s a sensible and very good question.

Perhaps it (the whining) is a habit he picked up, given that he’s around ‘all those kids’. Doesn’t he have 7?
To: The Shrew
No kidding, what a wuss. Perhaps Rick and Barky could have a whinging contest at some point.

...they haven’t announced yet

I think Huck-a-phony recently took steps to dissolve his champaign comm. Sarah may not be running.

Huckabee enjoys plucking his bass and pulling his big paycheck on his
own show. FNC figures he's most likely not running.
Unlike Santorum and Gingrich, Palin hasn't given a strong indication she's running. If/when she does, she'll be gone too.

Well, I can think of two reasons they might have cut Santorum. First, because he showed strong interest in running. As yet, Sarah has not openly said so.
Second, because Santorum has recently been going against every principle he formerly stood for. Who wants a commentator who has been repudiated by the left and right alike?
He’s been behaving much like that idiot Kathleen Parker. And so has Newt. The left will never accept Newt, and now the right dislikes him, too.
