Joke, right? Am I out here all by myself? Do you know ANYbody who “worships” the Statue of Liberty? Have you ever met ANYone who gives it a second thought beyond, “France gave it to us. Many of our families passed by it on their way here. It got old, in disrepair and we fixed it up as a tourist attraction.” If this isn't a joke, I've just gotta’ ask, do they think we worship Mickey Mouse or Ronald McDonald? Seriously? Really?

Anybody ever see anyone on their knees, offering prayers or sacrifices to the Statue of Liberty??? There may have been some folks on their knees in the past saying a prayer, but I'd wager my life on the fact those prayers weren't being directed to the Statue of Liberty.

No, no, no - what they mean is that it represents the “false god” of liberty and they say we worship liberty. As in their proud claim that “we love death the way you love life”. Well, I hope enough of us DO treasure our liberty. I haven’t read ahead far enough to see if this is a joke or not, but if so, it would only be about whether they said this openly or not - because they certainly do privately, and steadfastly plan and work toward that end (NO joke).

And I certainly hope and pray we wouldn’t wait until it’s a fait accompli before rising up with reprisals, because by that time, it’s already too late.
