“And there would be a $25 fee charged for each gun which would have to be renewed annually at a cost of $10 each gun.
Firearms owners would be issued a photo ID listing the guns registered to their name.”
No. Period.
Will happen only over my dead body.
Being elected to office does NOT mean that I must stand and salute any damned unconstitutional crap you run up the pole. The utter CONTEMPT held by our “leaders” for the Law is becoming manifest.
I have an idea, lets ban Crime, hey it works every time it's tried. /s

I ain´t registerin´ no guns. F ´em.
That's why I wouldn't want NH and VT to be annexed by Quebec. As for the rest of New England - no loss.
New York sucks in just so many ways...
It's the people who live there. The little tin tyrants that NY sends to Kongress and their own legisature aren't elected at random. They're elected because they reflect the attitudes of the majority of the voters in their districts. Every time I look at what some retard in NY government does that further limits the freedom of the morons who live there, I see more proof that New Yorkers want to be slaves, that New Yorkers are afraid of freedom, that New Yorkers want to be helpless, etc. New York is a tumor on the body politic.
Unbelievably naive. Just plain stupid.
“Reason number 237 why I will not take up my sisters request for me to move back to NY. Sorry anout that sis.”
What an amazing coincidence, its also reason # 237 that I will be moving my high-earning, high tax-paying butt out of NY at the earliest opportunity.
The liberals in this once great state have destroyed it. I seriously doubt that anything utter than government shutdown and a civil war would change anything.
There are so many great things about New York, but the government has infiltrated so much of our lives.
I went to a local gun show a few weeks ago. As I entered the venue, I was asked if I had (my legally registered handgun) on me. Like an idiot, I said yes. They then said I could not enter the venue until it was tagged with an electrical tie to prevent it from being fired.
Yes, it is an offender protected society and the law abiding citizens have their rights taken away.
Just plain stupid.
I disagree. If you substitute "firearms not held by government agents" for "illegal firearms" then it makes perfect sense. The people in favor of this want ONLY the police and military armed. In their minds every gun not in the hands of police IS an illegal firearm.
The anti-gunners never rest. They never give up. They cannot be reaoned with. They have no pity on citizens who want to protect their families and property from unorganized and organized thugs. They cannot be compromised with because they never willingingly concede anything. Every restriction they gain is always a "good first step." When their schemes inevitably fail to produce the stated goals, it's always because "We didn't go far enough." This struggle can only end one of three ways.
That is exactly my point. The liberals are the vast majority of the inhabitants. NY isn't an anti-self defense sh!thole because of the weather or the topography. It's because of the people who live there.
That's kind of standard for gun shows. Even here in Ga and FL you'll see that.
The Supreme Court has already decided that issue!
Felons are not obligated to register their firearms, as it is a violation of their 5th amendment rights.
Law abiding citizens of New York should demand the same rights as felons!!!
“Pffft... patently UnConstitutional.”

Yes, but imagine trying to defend against gun confiscasion once this is in place. Without the Second, you can’t ultimately defend the Second or anything else.
If they got their guns and can easily take yours, then they “don’t need no stinking Constitution.”
Be it resolved that:
Every elected and a appointed government official should be fitted with microchip which would transmit the officials position at all times (both morning and night), and
All financial transactions (including groceries, meals, and coffee) conducted by said official will be fully recorded, and
Each official will be required to work 4 hours per week at a different charity within his district or region until all charities within the region have been visited for work.
Any other thoughts to add?
When they get around to passing such a crap piece of legislation in my state, if they want to enforce it here, bring the front end loaders and dump trucks to haul away those coming to enforce it with me.
Okay, Laz—you are excused—LOL!
Okay, Laz—you are excused—LOL!
Laz, As a former Rochesterian like yourself, I can tell you it’s a great place to be from. And I have only been back once in the last ten years and that was for a funeral.
I pray actual Americans living in New York will IGNORE this thoroughly unconstitutional law.
