I knew an elderly man in the early 90s who I was told was a Communist spy during the 30s - 50s. I tried to find out the truth but never did get to the bottom of it. But a year before he died, the subject of spies came up and we were talking about people like Larry Adler, etc. and this man said in a whisper: “they never caught the real spies.” I believed him.

I am at a loss for words to say how angry this makes me.

We truly do have an elite that despises the rest of America as peasants and low-browed clods fit only to labor in the Socialist bureaucratic machine.

An insulated, protected elite, who feels themselves almost genetically superior to the common run of humanity.

She would not have cared how many died in a nuclear war with the Soviet Union. These people are serial killers. And they are still there, still in place, still contemptuous of the ‘rest of us’.

Still living on taxpayer money, which we are forced to pay them even though they wish us dead.

Code name for the NSA's program to intercept and decrypt Soviet diplomatic cable traffic. And since all Soviet embassies and such were also KGB fronts, we collected a tremendous amount of information about KGB activities on the ground inside the U.S.

VENONA was pretty much the crown jewel of US intelligence from WWII through the Carter administration, so a lot of espionage prosecutions were compromised to avoid revealing its existence. That's basically why McCarthy was hung out to dry. He'd gotten hold of some leaks and the decision was made that it was better to cripple and slander him than to expose VENONA.

Ann Coulter has a pretty good summary of the declassified parts of it in her book, Treason.

We really needed then and probably need today, a secret extra legal method of handling these traitors. Similar to what happens to non uniformed spies caught during a war: cigarette and blindfold.

“State Supreme Court Justice Emily Goodman, a longtime friend, said Socolov was “utterly committed to social justice.”

Gee, whom else espouses the “social justice” theme?

She was a teacher... might have known.

My mother's high school math teacher and her husband were both arrested as spys back during WWII, shortly after a troop train wrecked in the community killing a number of our troops. The train wreck never got reported in the media to mother's knowledge. It appears teachers have a long history.

Maybe she too has now learned what many of us have known for a long time—better dead than red.
