630 WMAL/Chris Plante Ping List
That kills my morning radio listening. I'd been hoping that the courageous "Mrs. Fred" would replace Nieman, who doesn't have the personality or brains to carry a 4 hour show. Hard to listen to a grown man giggle and openly stated he thought Nancy Pelosi "hot".
Too bad...aside from the syndicated programming, Grandy and Plante provided the only decent locally produced shows on WMAL.
Try tuning into WCBM. They have a good morning program.
"Veteran broadcast talent Bryan Nehman"...sorry, I can't wrap my head around the words "Veteran", "Talent", and "Bryan Nehman" - extreme cognitive dissonance!
And as for "several notable guests" and "contributors": let's see...considering the fact that Bryan "Nancy Pelosi is HOT!" Nehman will be the sole host, I'll wager he'll invite such "notable guests" as Joe Scarborough, Congressman Jim Moran, Marion Barry, and Natalie Maines...

Always enjoyed Tom Marr as a sub.
This is the canary in the coal mine. We as a people, and the management at WMAL, are just sitting back and letting CAIR dictate policy.
IF (big damned if) we had a real DOJ, they would be investigating CAIR; its leadership would be in the dock, then behind bars. But, oh, no ... we do NOT have a meaningful DOJ. Worse, we are pretty much a nation of PC cowards now.

This is the work of Citadel chief Farid Suleman. He had longtime KSFO morning host Lee Rodgers fired for the same reason a few years ago.
Has Lee found work since KSFO? I miss his morning program.
DC PING
I sent an e-mail to the WMAL general manager as well. I hope he gets inundated with calls and e-mails.
Is Citadel the syndicator for Rush/Levin, and others who are on WMAL in DC? OR, has Citadel merely negotiated with their syndicators for rights to those shows in the DC Metro area?
It seems that Citadel has a habit of trying to shut down or fire any who dare go after radical Islam. Not that it would happen, but it would be interesting to see the “big guns” of talk radio tell Citadel/WMAL, that they will not negotiate with any syndicator or station that shuts down free speech.
Just yesterday our SCOTUS opined that however offensive the language, the Westboro Baptist Church had a right to protest at funerals of slain soldiers. Why is Citadel/WMAL immune from its on air personnel making comments that to some (CAIR) might be offensive? Are they saying that Westboro (Phelps Phamily) have more rights than, say, Fred Grandy? Or Michael Graham?
The SCOTUS opinion said that the Phelps/Westboro protests were legitimate because they covered topics of public import. Is Citadel/WMAL saying that radical Islam isn’t a matter of public import?
.
“Veteran broadcast talent Bryan Nehman”...
They keep him because they pay him less.
“WMAL - Wahabbi Muslim Airwave Loyalists”
That’s HYSTERICAL!!

If you want off my ping list get over it!
BS.
Maryland "Freak State" PING!
I have to admit that I thought of myself first...It will be a long summer without radio in the morning. Maybe I can get something on the computer.
Let me know what you find!
I’d only catch about 10 minutes of Grandy’s show before I’d head into work. You’ll have to ask Silvie.
