Since the whole idea of impeachment is to get rid of the Kenyan usurper, you’d need a majority in the Senate to do so. While I don’t doubt the current House would impeach, the fact the Senate wouldn’t convict is so much political jagging off.
I think the attack needs to be carried out on all legal fronts, including states passing more stringent proof-of-eligibility laws and courts forcing Hussein to release his long-form birth certificate, along with all his college transcripts and financial aid documents.
I suspect that the reason the latter are so elusive is that it would document the fact Obama declared himself an Indonesian citizen to get financial aid, which if he was in fact born in Hawaii would be prima facie evidence of fraud.
If you consider it a waste of time, don’t get involved, don’t contact and let the congressman know that you support impeaching; or if you feel strongly against it you could let him know that you are. I consider it worthwhile, as do others - about 76% of people who voted in a very informal straw poll on here a little while ago. I’ve written above in a few posts here that there’s more good to be done than just ridding the office of him, his puppet-masters, fellow-travelers, thugs, and enablers. Pursuing this on all legal fronts is a good idea - this is a very important legal front.
I agree with you on the birth issue - it definitely needs to be looked at, legitimate questions need to be answered, if the Constitution isn’t just a meaningless piece of paper. It could even be part of the impeachment proceedings, forcing a look too at things like his student records where he may have (or may not have, for all I know) been enrolled and received preferential treatment not just as a member of a protected class but as a foreign student with dual citizenship.
