“She made a mistake, but she is the perfect example of what the Bible says: what Satan has meant for bad, God will turn around for good if you allow him to work in your life,” said Waterfield. “That’s Mom right there: those thousands of children - that abortion turned into a blessing.”

What a beautiful tribute!

As Russell lay on her deathbed, Waterfield said that she rejoiced to think of the meeting that lay in store for her.
“I whispered in her ear and said, ‘Mom, now you can hold your baby for the first time. You’ll be able to see your baby,” she said, tearing up. “And you know, I just wish I could see that reunion. Because of that baby, she was able to do so much for children.

How sweet to die with such assurance of heaven and the promise to see that unborn child..

I had heard she was a Christian, but did not know the whole story.. Thanks

In certain hope of the Resurrection.

It galls me when democrats claim they are always doing things for the children when if they had the best interests of children in mind, they would put very strict limits on abortions and abortion procedures such as partial birth abortions.

Oh well...I have to say it, and this thread is as good as any: as a Jew, let me say that you true Christians are wonderful people.

I wish hope and pray that Jews and Christians can come together as a group since it is these two groups that are often persecuted and hated here in the states. That is something we have in common and as such we, as two religious groups, should be more sympathetic to the plight of the other.

Wow, what a beautiful story and yes, something that the MSM will never talk about or highlight. What a shame on our media and society.

Excellent Post!

My Grandmother chose life for my mom and put her up for adoption after birth in what is now the Methodist Mission Home in San Antonio,TX back in 1925.

It was 1993 when we were finally reunited with the birth mother. A joyful reunion indeed. This dear old woman was never able to have another child. 90 years old in a wheel chair at the nursing home she was suddendly surrounded by her look-alike daugher, two grandsons and six grand children.

Jane Russell was the same kind of genuine Christian blessed by the Holy Spirit. Less we ever forget them. May we forever proclaim the name of Jesus Christ around the world!

“Grandma Russell was by her side after she had the abortion and she said, ‘Daughter, the Lord will turn this around for good if you allow him to work in your life. There is no condemnation from Him, nor will there be any condemnation from our lips either,"

As much I would have enjoyed meeting Jane Russell, I dare say I would have liked some visits with Grandma Russell even more.

I did not know she had so much inner beauty as well and, if I may say this being a Jew, that she was such as good Christian. What a blessing she was to thousands of people, how much difference she made in this world.

G-d bless your heart and soul, Ms. Russell; RIP.

“That’s her legacy: it’s not Hollywood, it’s the children. That’s how I want the world to know her.”

Blurry monitor bump...

“Let everything that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.” (Psalm 150:6)

Like Joseph told his brothers that sold him into Egypt; “But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.” (Genesis 50:20)

That seemed to be like the life of Jane Russell.

We are all sinners, some are saved sinners, some are still lost sinners!

“For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” (John 3:17)

“But God commended His love toward us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)

“For He(God)hath made Him(Jesus)to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.” (2 Corinthians 5:21)
