RINO Altman has joined hands with a Democrat and FILED A LAWSUIT in the Florida Supreme Court...against the governor Rick Scott.

Scott has rejected Hussein's stimulus...forcing OVER $2 billion on the state for a high speed rail that the voers of Florida have rejected.

Apparently Altman thinks Hussein's sludge fund is just what we need in Florida, against the better judgement of the voters of Florida and their duly elected governor.

Can we get someone to replace this jackball next election cycle? I'd rather have a capitalist and a constitutionalist in the legislature.

This just in from Americans for Prosperity (the same group that is providing busses to Tallahasee on the 8th):

Two Florida State Senators, Thad Altman and Arthenia Joyner, have filed a lawsuit with the Florida Supreme Court attempting to force Governor Scott to accept $2.4 billion in federal stimulus to build a high speed rail from Orlando to Tampa.

Senator Altman and Senator Joyner are attempting to use legal gymnastics to bind the state to future obligations of completing a high speed rail system that we don’t need and can’t afford.

Please act now to tell these Senators you will not sit by while they play politics with your tax dollars! HERE:
http://www.capwiz.com/americansforprosperity/issues/alert/?alertid=32140501&type=ML

They claim that accepting these federal dollars will bring jobs to Florida, but they fail to mention the burdensome cost associated with building the project. The continued cost of completing the connecting rail lines – a project with an estimated $11 billion cost – as well as the $100 million a year estimated for operating costs, will fall on the shoulders of Florida’s taxpayers when the federal stimulus dollars have dried up. A few temporary jobs is not worth a lifetime of debt for Florida’s citizens.

Governor Scott’s decision to reject the federal stimulus dollars is backed by sound economic policy and represents the voice of fiscal conservatives. It is not in the best interest of the state to commit to a project we can’t afford down the road simply for the benefit of a few temporary jobs now. With unknown ridership numbers and a budget shortfall of $3.5 billion and growing, Florida lawmakers have to prioritize and stop wasting taxpayer money on an unnecessary project!

It is imperative that you call and email Senator Altman and Senator Joyner ____as well as your state representatives___ to tell them that the taxpayers of Florida do not want to be forced to pay for Obama’s High Speed Rail.

Call Senator Altman at: (321) 752-3138 or (850) 487-5053
Call Senator Joyner at: (813) 233-4277 or (850) 487-5059

I don’t think any of the proposed rail lines have been planned to go through Brevard County.
