If nothing annoys you more than that, you’ve got a pretty good, stress free life.
A small animal loose in the car (lapdog or housecat) can be big trouble if it chooses to burrow under the brake, clutch, and/or accelerator pedals. A pet carrier, or a leash short enough and tied far back enough that the pet cannot reach this area, should be more than sufficient.
