Gun used in Mexico slaying of U.S. agent came from Texas;

Authorities say a gun sold legally at a U.S. gunshop to a U.S. citizen was then smuggled into Mexico, where it was one of those used by a Zeta drug cartel hit squad to kill a U.S. federal agent last month.

Right. Liberals love to blame inanimate objects, like guns and shops. While they're at it, why not also blame the car the smuggler drove?

The only real solution is to hunt down the people responsible, followed by a swift trial and swift punishment.

Of course, the justice system has done nothing swift since the 1940’s, so I'm not holding my breath here.

This story coming from the LameStreamMedia sourced from the BATF make it very UN-creditable.
I don't trust either.

I know exactly were that BS came from, and I'm telling you it's just that, it's BS.

Both the “sting operation” and the ‘more gun control” are cover stories.

Both of these stories pacify the left and the “more gun control” gives the right something they want to believe so they don't look any further.

I'm giving you some advise, before blindly accepting the “more gun control” story you better dig a little further.

I've already stated why it's BS.

The numbers don't add up.

The mex govt. isn't involved and didn't know about it.

Hillary's State Dept. is behind it.

State Dept. doesn't have anything to do with gun control in the US. The only reason for the State Dept. to get involved in gun control in the US would be to get the mex govt cooperation.

This is speculation, without any supporting evidence.

On the other hand, we do have one of the guns in the Gunwalker scandal showing up as having killed Agent Terry. We also have numerous whisteblowers testifying to Grassley about this operation.

I lean towards evidence, as opposed to rank speculation. If you've got some cards, show 'em.

Fox has the story now: Fox News

This statement makes no sense:

"The three men arrested in the Dallas suburb of Lancaster -- including Ranferi Osorio and Kelvin Morrison -- allegedly bought the guns in the U.S., scratched off the serial numbers and sent them to cartels in Mexico.

If the serial numbers were scratched off, HOW were they able to trace the weapons back to Texas? I call the story BS. ATF is trying to cover their sorry asses again.

The DMN mentioned that the serial numbers were only partially scratched off.

If the serial numbers were scratched off, HOW were they able to trace the weapons back to Texas?

Ten years ago, they discovered how to recover serial numbers from defaced weapons, due to metal compression when it is stamped with a serial number. Defacing no longer works.

Why would Hillary’s State Dept. be involved in domestic policy and gun control in particular?

The number of guns involved is said to be anywhere from 300 possibly up to 3000.

That's not a sting operation. We appear to be in agreement on that.

Assume the low number is 300 guns and the High number is 3000 guns.. If they were to seize 10%, you're talking about a 30 or 300 gun increase in the number of guns traceable back to the US seized. Compared to the overall total number of guns seized in Mexico (over 10,000 total last year IIRC) the number is insignificant even at the high 300.

To have a significant increase in the number of guns traceable back to the US, as is necessary for the theory you're presenting, you would have to have a huge number of guns involved, and not just any gun, but the EVIL guns the left want to control.

People have been smuggling guns into Mexico from this country longer than I've been alive, close to 56 years, yet there is only a couple of thousand guns that can be traced back to the US seized every year, and there is no record of when the seized guns got into Mexico. I could be last year or it could be 50 years ago there is no way of knowing.

The ones I've seen pictures of most are not new guns and most gun shops wouldn't even have them in their used rack, they are close to junkers, and most are not the EVIL guns the left wants to regulate.

Which makes better sense, Hillary's State Dept is arming the drug gangs in Mexico with thousands of weapons with the hope of tracing a few hundred back to the US to achieve gun control, or Hillary's State Dept. is arming up someone (as the Clinton's did with the muslims in the 90’s) and a few of those weapons are making it into the hands of the drug gangs?

Yea you're probably right, I am a tin foil hat kind of guy and the Clinton's didn't help arm up the muslims in the 90’s did they?

http://sipseystreetirregulars.blogspot.com/2011/03/so-now-we-have-our-answer-question-was.html

Sipsey boys have been all over this story. It seems the ATF persuaded a stooge to buy the gun from a cooperating gun shop, walk it to mexico, and have it used to shoot the US official. What are the odds?

Lightning fast detective work on all sides too, astounding. US and MX feds should have this Zetas ring shut down in no time, no?

So Clinton and Obama want to shut down US gun sales because the mexican drug lords use those guns to kill US officials after US officials enable the illicit sale and walking of those guns to mexico.

Very smelly stinky all around. Playing politics with drug gangs = moronic deadly. We are led by naive morons.
