ATF's first attempt to get "ahead" of the story was to make arrests a couple days after BPA Terry was killed. That story quickly unravelled as info on the Terry shooting slowly leaked out.

The scary part is how slow the information is coming out and how bad the news is. The only good thing is that the story is finally gaining traction, with CBS doing a story on it.

BP agents are the proverbial dutch boy with their fingers in the dike. They have enough problems with a government that doesn't want to enforce the law. They don't need another agency arming the criminals they come up against.

This is the kind of scandal that could destroy an administration. BATFE agents tricking lawful gun dealers into selling arms to questionable purchasers and then letting those guns “walk” across the border so they could later “find them” and use them as evidence to back up the president’s claims that US arms were fueling violence in Mexico. This is much larger than the Iran/Contra scandal IMO. I am sure the administration realizes this and is carefully covering its tracks right now. This behavior is just beyond the pale and it really puts a spot light on what this administration’s real priorities are. The question is, why is this administration so determined to disarm American citizens? Regardless, he must be stopped.
