For decades, fluoride has been marketed and heralded as essential for good dental hygiene and used in most toothpastes and mouthwashes. In addition, parents have been routinely encouraged to give their kids cavity-fighting fluoride treatments when they visit the dentist. ...
But that was then and this is now. In a surprising reversal, last month EPAs announced that it intends to lower the maximum amount of fluoride in drinking water because of growing evidence supporting the chemicals possible deleterious effects to childrens health.
In 2006, the National Academy of Sciences report that found dental fluorosis caused by too much fluoride capable of putting children at risk of developing other dental problems including the breakdown of tooth enamel, discoloration and pitting. Januarys EPA recommendation reversal was made following a revised risk assessment study that found 2 out of 5 adolescents had tooth streaking or spottiness and some pitting as a result of excessive fluoride. In addition, other studies have found excessive ingestion of fluoride capable of increasing the risk of brittle bones leading to fractures and debilitating bone abnormalities.

I forgot to mention that ingested fluoride only strengthens teeth that are still forming. Adults have no use for fluoridated water. Calcium hydroxyapatite, the building blocks of teeth and bones, binds with the fluoride ion to form calcium fluorapatite. It is more dense, therefore resists demineralization from plaque acids and reduces tooth decay.
I believe that. There are people on this very thread, deriding anyone who doesn’t believe the government gospel of fluoride, calling them “fools” and posting dentist/government links.
If they're fools they have a lot of company. Most of the modern world rejects fluoridation of water.
Exactly!
I used to have cavities every time I went to the dentist, at least one every time!! My siblings all had them, my husbands family allk had them. We quit using floride 15 yrs ago and started filtering our water, we have not had a cavity since, my kids have never had one, they are 12 and 14!
I also have heard it is a supressor, like saltpeter for the brain, and lowers IQ...it wouldn’t surprise me.
Excuse me? For not falling for the con jobs, I’m sick?
“I don’t expect to see any published letters of apology.”
For what? A rather minor issue? 1 of which is what brought up the odd strength of Fl in the 1st place - discolored unattractive teeth - yet strong?
Meanwhile people here go on and on about “poison” and how it’s causing a whole host of SERIOUS health issues - none of which were mentioned in the EPA “retraction” (rather, retreat). As if it were an “ah-HAH!” moment about cancer and thyroid diseases and mental problems.
You are falling for the biggest con jobs on Earth.
The most illogical scam that has ever been pulled.
A “TDS” meter is only measuring the electrical resistance of the water.
Progress can be made against Hashimoto by adding SSKI to all your drinking and cooking water. The constant Iodine content of the water will over time replace the other halogens as thyroid cells are generated.

.
All you need to do is read the Burk-Yamouyannis study that was done in the ‘60s. It firmly establishes numerous links to degenerative disease from the fluoride that is used in drinking water (which differs from the type of fluoride used in the ADA studies too).
.
Thank you so much for posting that link. I’m going to order some for myself. By following your link I discovered the name (gum boil) for the problem I’ve been having in my mouth for the last 2 years and been treating with colloidal silver and vitamins for the immune system.
1 study - years ago in the period when this was 1st a big controversy. Degenerative diseases from tiny particles in a gigantic pool of water?
I seriously doubt this is any worse than the numerous things that are in our treated waters, anyway.
Once again,

I’m so glad, you’re so welcome — hope it really helps (it has everyone I know who’s tried it)!! It’s so great to be in this wonderful conservative company on FR, people who use homeopathic, etc.
Are you swallowing the colloidal silver? Have you turned blue yet?
All of the halogens except Iodine cause degenerative disease if they’re in the water supply.
The fact that you’re incapable of grasping it not withstanding, of course.
It appears that you have a deceptive agenda here.
“Experts concluded” = Propagandists asserted.
The study included biological testing, and the body of statistics in the intervening period fully support the study.
Thank you Mr. Shill for your contribution.
these libtards are the ones that put it in the water in the first place. Your average dentist didn’t have any input.
This was added to the water at the same time the government was mandating fortified breads etc... some of these have been found ineffective but not impacting your health. But these regulations are still enforced.
Where do regulations go to die? well, the same place the government goes to die of course that created them in the first place.
