And you are telling people to ignore Jesus’ direct words regarding this subject.
What is your resistance to tithing? Do you not feel your church needs your tithe? Do you not support the elderly in your church or families in need locally, or missionaries? Where do you think these monies come from but by tithing?
You trust God with your soul, yet keep your finances out of bounds.
Tithing applies. It shows up in the NT with the churches Paul starts helping him during his travels with monetary gifts. It is important, and proper for a Christian to tithe to his or her church.
Where does He say to tithe 10%, sacrifice rams and obey all dietary laws? Never. The Temple veil was torn in two. Why? Christ fulfilled the law. Judaism was dead. The Ten Commandments were not. We are not to be gluttons, liars, immoral, drunks.....THOSE are the laws still in place. Tithing to a now dead/unneeded priesthood, dietary laws and sacrificing are dead. Grace replaced them.
If you disagree, check out commentaries on Matt 5:17. It doesn't mean what you think it does.
You have a nice day.
