I wish I shared your optimism. I see the case as more of just another con job by big govt.
They will tell the lemmings, who actually pay for SS, that the fund will crash unless they raise the current age and will get away with it,IMHO.

Raising the age is one thing. It affects everyone equally. Saying that you are going to means test the benefits is another.

They have already started a type of means testing with Medicare Part B. There are different premium levels depending upon income.
