“I do have to disagree as to whether restricting our oil drilling benefits the Middle East. “

I don’t think it benefits the middle east. With my tinfoil hat on I will offer this. I think what makes a revolution successful is funding.

Another front for Communism has been opened in South America and Chavez is hard strapped for cash. Disrupting middle east oil, helps Chavez get more for his supply. How do they drill it and get it out of the ground? They need equipment.

Where did the equipment come from? They got it from the gulf spill and all the equipment went to South America. To Soros’ company.

The question I have to ask is “Was the spill in the guilf an accident? Is this a coincidence?” BP helped Libya with the Lockerbie Bomber. BP was responsible for the gulf spill.

Coincidence?

You need to let some oil-patch people educate you on this.

First, the equipment issue isn't really the issue. It responded to market conditions, which Obama changed with his moratorium. The deep-water equipment chased out of the Gulf isn't what Chavez needs, which is mostly onshore in his heavy-oil and tar-sand trend, a completely different cat.

Some of it went to deep-water offshore Brazil. But not because Obama "wanted" it to go to Lula da Silva's Communist playmates -- Obama just wanted operations to stop in the Gulf.

Other equipment went elsewhere -- west Africa, SE Asia. But it wasn't sent there to "help" anyone, just seeking markets after Obama threw the wrench.

And NOOOO, the Deepwater Horizon accident was NOT a conspiracy, it was a "stupiditacy" in which BP's local "profit" units were pressurized to reduce costs (again) and did stupid engineering and operating stuff to try to save money -- and lost the well, the rig, and 11 lives.
