If Iraq’s oil industry was privatized it would be more efficient, profitable and secure. Big oil is accustomed to operating in the Third World and guarding its investments.

Then hit the air defense.

The article states that:
"The Baiji refinery was controlled for a long time by al Qaeda militants, who used it to finance the insurgency."
I wonder how long is a "long time"?

We should all be shaking our heads about this countrys lack of a coherent energy policy. It makes one wonder if Obama and the environuts gets their cash from the Saudis and OPEC

Obama has a very coherent energy policy - to strangle the US by direct action to block us from using our own energy sources as well as forced misdirection and wasted spending on dead end alternative green energy schemes.

Boy, the Cloward-Piven, Obama-Soros, Communist-Islamist axis is really working overtime these days to generate civil unrest, aren't they? They're shutting down everything they can to push the price of oil higher (which of course inflates everything else), gin up Islamic Rage Boys, agitate the Commie unions, stir up the queers, piss off the gun owners, destroy the dollar, just everything they can do to stir up a hornet's nest.
They must REALLY think they can benefit from a civil war in this country.

Concur. I really don’t understand why that guy didn’t catch a bullet back in the 2004 time frame.
