Scientists warn of link between dangerous new pathogen and Monsanto’s Roundup (Vilsack)

Scientists warn of link between dangerous new pathogen and Monsanto’s Roundup

Rady Ananda, Contributing Writer

A plant pathologist experienced in protecting against biological warfare recently warned the USDA of a new, self-replicating, micro-fungal virus-sized organism which may be causing spontaneous abortions in livestock, sudden death syndrome in Monsanto’s Roundup Ready soy, and wilt in Monsanto’s RR corn.

Dr. Don M. Huber, who coordinates the Emergent Diseases and Pathogens committee of the American Phytopathological Society, as part of the USDA National Plant Disease Recovery System, warned Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack that this pathogen threatens the US food and feed supply and can lead to the collapse of the US corn and soy export markets. Likewise, deregulation of GE alfalfa “could be a calamity,” he noted in his letter (reproduced in full below).

On January 27, Vilsack gave blanket approval to all genetically modified alfalfa. Following orders from President Obama, he also removed buffer zone requirements. This is seen as a deliberate move to contaminate natural crops and destroy the organic meat and dairy industry which relies on GM-free alfalfa. Such genetic contamination will give the biotech industry complete control over the nation’s fourth largest crop. It will also ease the transition to using GE-alfalfa as a biofuel.[...]

Thanks for posting. I’ve seen it, and I too think everyone should. Monsanto has ties to Soros too, IIRC. Despicable, it’s not even treason since he’s not even American, but his co-conspirators are traitors.

while research and monitoring protocols are implemented

Yep, and taxpaying citizens are forbidden access to caves for what unspecified time to come?

One by one our freedoms and accesses are being denied and meant to be permanent (or semi=permanent as they will say) with no questions or input accepted.

The headline is misleading. Roundup is not involved in this at all it appears.
It is the gene inserted into plants for Roundup resistance that they claim is linked

Fascism means privately owned business controlled by the government. How is that different than “corporatism” or “crony-capitalism?”

Thanks JDW. I’ll check out the info. I do know from memory that John Podesta’s brother Anthony has a stake in it. And probably Vilsack as a reward for his vote on healthcare which would make it financially beneficial for him to push for deregulation. Not nice things to say if they know that the food is contaminated but I’m very distrustful of this administration.

Stock up on what foods you can folks, the means to protect them, and the means to produce more, and do it quickly.

Bought a few packages of garden seeds today. The cashier and an assistant store manager separately told me people are buying them greedily and there is almost no stock left of most vegetable seeds. How in the world can news sources print that the economy is looking up? From what angle are they looking? It's obvious to me people are preparing for the worst, not what they are being told via government propaganda news.

A cursory search on Dr. Huber makes even one sentence from him important.

If there is nothing to this, then WHY is the EPA pushing to have Dairy Milk catagorized as a biohazard?

If you’re buying organic meat they are feeding the livestock with organic feedstuffs. Or they darn well should be.

I wonder if this development is part of the reason the EPA wants Dairy Cattle MILK regulated as a biohazard?

This is worded in such a way that one would think you are unaware of the what the EPA is really after?

The EPA is in bed with MOnsanto and the rest. They are going AFTER the organic farmers that are trying to raise safe, uncontaminated food.

The milk the EPA is going after is small farmers still selling NATURAL MILK - raw milk as it comes from the cow...the kind of milk that people have lived on for tens of thousands of years.

Every dollar that is spent on buying organic foods is a dollars the big guys aren't getting - plus it still leaves some foods that are not controlled/owned by the big guys.

I don't drink much milk but do only use whole, organic. It still tastes like MILK. And I spend the extra to get organic butter.

I grow what I can for vegetables and, in season, buy from local organic farmers.

We have a tiny town here that passed an ordinance forbidding any GMO crops. Canada and England and other countries are fighting GMO's - forbidding them.

I use lots of Roundup weed killer every year. Had me fretting there for a few secs.

If you're serious, you'd better do some research -

This is doubly confusing because Monsanto also makes a weed killer called Roundup. So I read several paragraph before I figured out this is talking about GM food.

It was meant to be confusing.

The source is a bunch of raving lunatics who know, just as with global warming, the truth won't suffice.

I've heard plenty of conservatives mock the greenies who've been warning about the dangers of “Frankenfoods”, but food that is meant to withstand pesticide can have very serious consequences for those who consume it.

Transplanting a specific gene from one (say corn) variety into another variety, to give an overall improvement, without generations of cross breeding & purifying, and “weeding out” unwanted passed on traits is one thing.

This type of GM is something else.

Then putting clam genes into tomatoes to get clam flavored tomato juice without the trouble of processing & mixing is yet another whole different thing.

Babies and bath water come to mind, and as usual, both sides take an all or nothing position, lumping all into the same bathinette.

The Udalls, Babbitts, Gephart, Wirth, Gore, and many more in the Clinton administration were into the conservation business big time. If one goes by history, recent or otherwise, one can see that they confiscate the land for the country’s resources. A small more recent example - Cecil Rhodes (Rhodesia)- DeBeers and his dreams of the world becoming a British Empire - Common Wealth. Clinton was a Rhodes scholar...as were many more of our government banksters.

Most people don't know that most of the foods they eat, especially corn products, have been sprayed liberally with Roundup.

No crops are EVER sprayed with Roundup, except to kill them.

You remember the coughing scene from Animal House? I’m afraid that’s appropriate here.

There is an American Phytopathological Society. It does not appear to have an Emergent Diseases and Pathogens committee. There is a USDA National Plant Disease Recovery System. It does not appear to have heard of a Dr. Don M. Huber.

He exists at Purdue, but there is little information about him on their website.

The letter is not written in the way a scientist would write such a communication. Two very obvious examples: 1. He mentions colleagues but does not share their names. An egregious violation of professional ethics. 2. The “references” he sites at the bottom of his “letter” are not scientific in nature. They are rather alarmist screeds exactly like this article. No scientist would cite such a source as a reference.

I work with scientists and am on some level one myself. This letter reads as if it were written by someone with little scientific background attempting to pass himself off as a scientist. The phrasing is just all wrong.

I will be very greatly surprised if this turns out to be anything other than a poor quality internet hoax passed around by gullible true believers, so anxious to believe in a government/industry conspiracy they’ll swallow anything no matter how silly.

I’m still waiting for something resembling evidence from a scientific as opposed to an “activist” source.

Amen.

I don’t know what frightens me more - the evil that is descending upon us or the vast majority of people - even with all the information now available for everyone to find - that just haven’t a clue.

keep your stores a secret and not easily found - because they will come after it.

“Every dollar that is spent on buying organic foods is a dollars the big guys aren’t getting - plus it still leaves some foods that are not controlled/owned by the big guys.”

Excellent point. They’ve made it very difficult for the small farmer with their rules and regulations...the same rules and regulations will also be applied to us...thus we won’t be able to grow our own food either which puts us directly into their power and mercy. They are gods and we are the serfs aka slaves.

I think the organic Milk farms will do quite well when this becomes fully know.

The EPA calling MILK a biohazard is another thing altogether. Will destroy ALL milk producers when it becomes full known (forget the MSM).

I tend to believe that with spontaneous abortions of cattle, there is more to this proposed reg than just trying to kill off organic Dairy Farms.
