BANG! I guess it's fitting that South Carolina goes first in the South for what can be an explosive issue. I was expecting more states in the West before this movement crossed the Mississippi. Read on. They want voter ID too. Good luck South Carolina!

Georgia already has a pretty good carry open/concealed law now. It does need a bit more tweaking IE carry in church is banned and at large public gatherings (large undefined but has been understood as 5000+. Once they are changed and maybe a few other points we will be much closer to our nations foundation and a bit more safe...

Briefly:

• Gun-rights activists applauded a vote Thursday that would allow S.C. citizens to carry a concealed weapon without a permit.

• S.C. voters will have to show photo identification at the polls under differing proposals that have passed both houses of the Legislature.

• Gov. Nikki Haley will hold a series of town hall meetings across the state, starting next week.
