Oh my, HE’S NOT RUNNING !
|
There’s a big difference between “Real-Life” and what the law says. Even with ALL the health insurance in the world, without the correct number on the Mass State Tax form, you’re screwed. And if you have insurance, but it does not meet the minimum required by the State, you’re screwed. And look at what most Mass Insurance covers vs. what it now costs. Much worse than half a dozen years ago. And go to a Mass Hospital Emergency Room. Filled to the brim with people who do not speak English because they have the flu. And now some towns in Massachusetts charge an anual fee for Fire Dept. EMT respnse and medical transport. It was always covered by property tax fees before. But now the Teacher’s Union needs the money more than the Fire Dept.? And the teachers do such a great job! By the time a Mass High Scool graduate gets 30 or 40 years of on-the-job experience they can almost make change for a dollar bill!
Oh man- he’s either got a tin ear or has the worst advisors on record. Or both.
That worked before the teaparties.
Mitt: meet teapot (& it's at a boil)
Romney = toast....burnt toast.
This will sink him worse than his father’s comment about being “brainwashed” about Vietnam.
If he comes out against it now... he looks like a flip flopper and opportunist that just wants to get elected at any cost and has no core principles.
He will make the same argument Obama is going to make, that it wasn't perfect and could and should be improved upon, but that it was certainly better than the status quo.
I guess I actually “expect” him to do just what he’s doing.
Mitt needs to have a heart-to-heart with himself and realize he HAD his chance in 2008. That was the best shot he’s ever going to get. He poured millions of his own money into it- it wasn’t enough.
The time for Mitt and his kind of politician is past. This party is not in the mood for ANY candidate who put huge new government-run progams into place. He’d get a better hearing on the left.
For a man who says he’s a capitalist- Mitt had a funny way of showing it- and someone who cares about him needs to sit down and say Mitt- it’s not happening.
Hoover was a fan of and worked for Woodrow Wilson, and was a big gov, elitist, central planning leftist that invented and started most of FDR’s programs. Wilkie was a FDR contributer, a leftist and voted for FDR. Eisenhower didn’t know what party he was in and was for big government. Ditto Nixon, Ford, Dole, Bush’s I & II.
The GOP loves, always has, big gov, big finance, bailout, subsidy, central social control.
That’s why.
Other than squishy Mittens, I think everyone in that picture is either a murderer, a felon, a convict or under investigation.
That is who Harvard boy Mittens put in charge of people’s health.
Both.
Mitt has lived a warped( sorry Mormons ), isolated life. Exclusive prep schools, Harvard law and MBA, finance, elite Mormon royalty circles, exclusive upper class neighborhoods.
Never once in a bar. No Romney male ever serving with those dirty non-Mormons in the Military( who knows what filthy habits Little Prince Mittens might of picked up ).
No local town government experience. Police, fire, schools, roads, lose dogs all to low rent of an experience for the Prince of Utah.
Ah, I see now. Mitt is going to run “against” obama, hoping to get the ‘disillusioned” voters. He’s conceding the Tea Party votes.
If Mitt is the nominee, Obama will get a second term . . . and I’ll consider that a better outcome than having a “Republican” president allow ObamaCare to stand. I will write in a real conservative (Palin,Bachmann, or DeMint) rather than vote for the communist or for communism-lite.
I've held my peace somewhat when people comment that Mitt would make a wonderful Secretary of Commerce. From the moment that Mitt was born into the family of an American car company CEO, soon to be governor of a major state, Mitt had every advantage in life. Besides the other factors you mentioned, Mitt also got placed on prestigious boards of directors for the simple reason that Romney was his last name. Besides not screwing up the advantages that he was given, what qualifies Mitt to be Secretary of Commerce or POTUS?
In the famous words of Ann Richards: "He was born on third base and he thinks he hit a triple." Frankly, this statement is far more true of Mitt Romney than George H. W. Bush to whom she directed it.
