In 2008, President Obama described his goal as "fundamentally transforming the United States of America." This is as true for immigration as it is for health care and other issues. President Obama's support for what advocates call "comprehensive immigration reform" -- amnesty, loose enforcement and increased legal immigration -- which he reiterated in his State of the Union address, is not just another item on a laundry list.
In the same way that critics of Obamacare warn that it will lead to irreversible changes in the nature of American politics, the president's immigration goals -- effectively, open borders -- would alter the political system itself, leading to inexorable growth in government and consequent constriction of personal liberties.
In short, immigration is the health of the state.
Leftists have been quite open about the politically transformative effects of immigration. Eliseo Medina, vice president of the Service Employees International Union and an honorary chairman of the Democratic Socialists of America, said immigration "will create a governing coalition for the long term, not just for an election cycle." Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass., has publicly made the same point, as has Ruy Teixeira, author of "The Emerging Democratic Majority."
There are two parts to this.

Third world here we come.
All according to plan... sure, eventually it`ll lock in a governing majority for the dems... but what again will they be governing when the rest of the country looks like Detroit?
3rd World losers: the only kind of people who could feel any respect for Obama.
3rd World losers: the only kind of people who could feel any respect for Obama.
Hey, if the government unions get busted, they have to get some fresh voters from somewhere.
But 3rd World immigrants won’t donate half a billion$ to the Dems like the unions.
You're thinking of those third world folks that come here for welfare bennies.
Think H1B, Green Card types. They'll donate and we've got plenty of them. They don't come here with the intent of going back to their homes except for a vacation.
At my worksite the majority are Indians, with Pakistani's running a close second, some Chinese, Japanese, Koreans and Vietnamese and probably other countries I just don't know about yet, with just a tiny sprinkling of black and white American born types to help with the english.
The major IT companies are bringing them in, in droves. The ones that have become citizens (like I said, their goal isn't to go back home for good) voted for Obama.
The “comprehensive immigration reform” beneficiaries are overwhelmingly south of the border deadbeat types.
The more educated type you mention might actually have enough sense to see things for what they are over here and take a right turn. I know several myself and they see Obama as a real goofball. But I of course recognize that there would be plenty who will join the Donks because of pre-existing socialist tendencies, gratitude, etc.
Unfortunately, Bush I, II, and Reagan did a pretty good job of this too. Without their efforts in this area, Obama would not have been elected.
Where I live it’s Third World Here we are!
I think most of us realize this isn’t anything new; it’s an outgrouth of the Dems Plan spearheaded by Ted Kennedy in the 1965 Immigration and Reform Act.
The Commies know two things work, i.e, 1) “Let me teach a generation and I own that generation, and 2) Demographics is destiny.
That is widely believed, for sure. The Catholic Church used to advocate “gettin’ ‘em young” too. But somehow, you don’t see many yoots in church these days.
Peer pressure? Internet? Rock and rap? Movies and TV? I don’t know but the best laid plans for training up young kids seem to be going right outthe window these days.
I suspect the commies are noticing the same phenomenon.
This actually qualifies as genocide by its UN definition. Dzhugashvili/Stalin did something dissimilar in name but similar in intended effect in the Baltics, Latvia and Estonia mostly, with internal migration of ethnic Russians and other non-Baltic Soviet citizens. Lithuania was carrying on an unreported guerilla war for some time after WWII so didn’t have nearly the same demographic situation.
Flooding the country with illegal and legal aliens from third world countries most certainly did not start with Obama. It’s been going on for a long, long time.
Oh yes, the old Sovietization/Russianization program.
That’s why there is still a rump Russian enclave around what used to be called Königsberg, East Prussia.
