A British brewer says it is finalizing a custom beer to be poured at pubs across the realm when Prince William marries Kate Middleton this spring.
Castle Rock Brewery in Nottingham plans to release its "Kiss Me Kate" ale at its branded watering holes a month before the April 29 ceremony, which will give lads and lasses plenty of time to get into the spirit of the big event.
The commemorative beer will be top-notch, the Nottingham Post said Saturday.
"Kiss Me Kate will be elegant, tasteful and British to the core," said head brewer Adrian Redgrove said. "It will be brewed to 5 percent, pale in color and we're sure it'll be the ideal way to toast the couple's future happiness."
Wise guys at the brewery kidded the Post that they would be happy to host the royal wedding reception with its popular menu of bangers and mash, fried fish and sticky toffee pudding.

Does that mean it will have small aquatic creatures swimming about in each bottle?
If I were British I don’t think I’d want to be associated with something weak and pale.
And Cole *Porter*’s estate will have nothing to say about it?
/johnny
ping for the list.
You can tell the British half of me (other two parts are Scots/Irish) is coming out when I’m slobbering over Bangers and Mash with toffee pudding... oh and PALE ALE!!! Gah, I think we will be pulling out some sausage for supper tonight!
Bangers and Mash!! I had that at a Dublin pub on a rainy Saturday years ago....
YUMMY!!!!! ( with a Guinness, of course!!!)
There is nothing like it on a cold, rainy day. I taught my sister in law how to make it a few months ago and she said they should give it to insomniacs, LOL
Bangers & Mash is the ultimate comfort food, lathered in some thick onion gravy. MMMmmmmMMMMMMM.
I don’t really like Pale Ale but i’ll give this a whirl, considering i’m getting an extra day off work due to the Royal couple!
