Correct.
Schaeffer is an interesting, privately held by the same founding family company since 1839. Their first lubes were made from tallow and candle wax.
Their original trade mark featured a team of Clydesdales pulling a wagon with Schaeffer lubes in barrels. The trademark was sold to the Anheuser family (as in Anheuser Busch) around the turn of the century. The reminents of the stables for the Clydesdales are still evident at their headquarters on Barton Street in downtown St. Louis.
I was introduced to Schaeffer when we were looking for a way to make a true winter spec N2 in Minnesota, Wisconsin and the UP (without N1 cutter.) Arctic Diesel, a grand slam, was the result.
