polygamous communities
I thought this was against the law. Why do we have LAWS that we don’t ENFORCE?? Makes my blood boil!!
They do enforce the law against polygamy in Texas.
They attempted to enforce the law against polygamy in Utah in the early 1950's, but it caused so much negative publicity for the Mormon Church that the State promptly discontinued all efforts.
