Democracy: As the flames of freedom sweep Libya, longtime dictator Moammar Gadhafi's days look to be numbered. With the outcome still uncertain, a question arises: Why is the U.S. sitting on its hands?
The Obama administration's approach to yet another revolt in an Arab country seems weirdly passive, as if sitting on the sidelines and watching was a policy. It's not.
People are being butchered in the streets of Libya as many as 400 at last count. Libya's diplomatic corps has resigned en masse in protest. But so far, the White House has managed only tepid remarks in condemnation of Gadhafi's murderous crackdown.
In a written statement last Friday, President Obama lumped Libya and two other Arab countries together, urging "restraint." Apart from that, he has said next to nothing as the Mideast boils over.
"We join the international community in strongly condemning the violence in Libya," said Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Not exactly Winston Churchill.
Not surprisingly, Libyans want something stronger. "I want the U.S. to tell the world and to work with the countries who love peace . .. they have to stop this," said Libya's ambassador to the U.S., Ali Ojli. The Obama administration, he said, should "take a strong position that what's happening in Libya must be stopped now."

Lamh Foistenach Abu!
Talk about mixed feelings and internal conflict! Obama has got to like Gaddafi for his anti-American rants and making a hero out of the convicted perp of the bombed flight over Lockerbie. On the other hand, the pro-Caliphate Muslim Bro’hood is backing riots to throw him out. What’s a mother to do?
Gaddafi is probably surprised lol he was probably counting on obama.
The only thing you can count on obamo to do is try to convince you that spending more money will shrink the deficit.
Talk about an amateur. In the case of Egypt, Zero calls out an established longtime ally by name and demands he step down from power immediately. But in the case of Libya, a known enemy of the United States, he tiptoes around, has his Secy of State make vague condemnations of violence, conspicuously NOT make any demands of Qaddaffi by name, and says nothing about a leadership change or anything else that would remotely insult him.
If you wonder why the world has lost respect for the United States, you’ve gotta be living under a rock.
But also, Iran is having protester problems, too, yet there seems to be a "media" blackout on it. Even FOX news doesn't have much on the situation there and you have to use the search function to find any news on it. I think what happens in Iran is much more important to our strategic interests than Libya.
Obama must have been distracted and worried sick over his wife and kids being out on the dangerous ski runs of Vail without him.
Now that they're home again, maybe Obama can finally focus on governing. :-)

It’s 3:00 a.m. and the phone is not being answered. In fact, voice mail is now full.
because the msm is rooting for the radical Muslims to win and so thereby weaken America's influence in the Mid-East and thereby leaving Israel wide open for attack.
Ezekiel 38 is coming soon.
