I second that.
With no job in sight, I can't afford to get old. :)
While he did have a nice hot bath, no one ate him.
I understand that phenomenon. My physical in January was conducted by the doc's Physician Assistant, a young and attractive blond woman. (including the least unpleasant prostrate check I've ever had. :) Then after I had a heart stress test, with the cardio doc in attendance, I saw his PA for the follow up. Another attractive young lady. My BP was up when the nurse took it.. yep, another cute young lady.
My heart is just fine. Had an "anomaly" in my EKG from the physical and they were just checking that out. As the lady said: "It's just the way I'm wired". But the PA took the time to show me exactly what the anomaly was and which leads on the EKG it showed up on. Said it was "non specific", meaning they really don't know what part of the "wiring" of the heart it's coming from, since the signals get all mixed up before the "leads" pick them up. I suspect it it the same "glitch" that got back surgery postponed about 10 years ago in San Antonio. But now that I know where it is in the EKG traces, I should be able to avoid that sort of thing again. I should have contacted my old doc in San Antonio, but I can't even remember his name. :) I was able to figure out the names of the cardiologists I saw there though, might have been able to get the information from them, and save a lot of hassle.
OTOH, the cardio doc also ordered a sleep study, which showed I have moderate to severe sleep apnea. I go in for a second "titration" study Thursday night. This time with a CPAP mask, and they will "tweak" the pressure to see what, if anything, works best for me.
Naw, he was saying" "D**n you right wing rednecks to h**l. I hope you choke on me and die".
He was a feisty little lefty.
Ahhhh...I guess I don’t speak Cajun Mudbug! :)
That was a good day!
Hey there!
*HUG* back.
Are you going to be able to join us at the shoot?
There was an outbreak here last summer and I done got it.
I was put into the hospital on base for three days/nights, given an antibiotic drip and then freed.
First time in my life I had to stay in a hosptial.
Did not like.
Yeah...ol' Lefty might have become alligator chow.
Then there was the goat. He's no longer around, either.
I won't mention too much more about that because I know it upsets The Mom - she really did love that goat.
You never told us what was going on.
Uhgg.. the hospital is a miserable place.
Glad you kicked Marys ass
No luck on the job in Arlington?
Yeah...you know that TheMom has been crying ever since that goat disappeared.
You don’t suppose he ended up being dinner......hm.....
Please add me to the list. I tried to make it last year but got sick and couldn’t. Sure hope to meet everyone this year.
You are added to the ping list.
Hope you can attend this year, it is always lots of fun.
In all honesty I do miss making fun of that stupid goat.
Thumbs up!
Good for you!
Long day yesterday so I just saw this.
No there was not.
I thought the interviews went well, one of the interviewers introduced me to the next one as "the font of all knowledge". But that was Wednsday. On Friday morning, very early, they called and said there was "not a good match, at this time".
It was so early that the only reason I was even awake was that I'd gotten a 6 AM wake up call to tell me that our great nieces, the ones who lived with us for 4 years, were being evacuated to higher ground after the tsunami warning sirens went off.
They live on the Oregon coast, in Brookings, just north of Cresent City, CA, where the damage ended up being quite significent. Not that is was minor in Brookings, a few million in damages to the marina and boats docked there.
All the time they had those boats, and those in Santa Cruz and Crescent City should have been at sea. If they'd done that they'd have been fine.
I've applied to about a dozen jobs since then, haven't heard from any of them, but 5 were just earlier today, and one was late in the week. Still, the whole process is frustrating as hell.
He'd be mighty tough. But I guess Goat Stew or even goat fajitas might work. Or fixed the way Hawaiians do pig. Bury that sucker under hot coals for a couple of days. Might be tender by then. :)
Bumping the thread.
Did they get all the dead bodies cleared off the range yet?
