Media Must Demand Answers About “Mystery Missile”

On November 8, 2010, while conducting normal news coverage in the skies of Los Angeles, California, a helicopter from a local station (KCBS-TV) filmed the trajectory of a mystery missile. What was this mysterious object flying through the sky? Nearly three months later, the public has still not been informed. Officially, the projectile remains a mystery. There was a brief flurry of requests for information from the local CBS affiliate and for three or four days a few stories were seen in the national news.
Then came the black hole.
-SNIP-
President Obama, who promised us an open and transparent government, has again, refused to tell us anything and the media could care less about challenging him on this matter. He does not have to answer questions about his college transcripts or his birth, so why be bothered with a missile firing? The only thing transparent and obvious is the lack of concern for the truth and a doting Obama press who simply will not ask him what happened that day 35 miles off the California coast just northwest of Catalina Island. Lets not let Congress off the hook either as the silence of most of its members is deafening on this issue. Where are the hearings, investigations and demands for answers from them?

"Retired Air Force Brigadier General Jim Cash was the Assistant Director of Operations for North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) in the late 1980s. NORAD is located inside Cheyenne Mountain in Colorado and has a team of over 150 highly trained professionals who detect and monitor all missile activity 24 hours a day, every day. General Cash was quoted in an editorial he wrote (which was carried by AP) as saying, In my opinion there is absolutely no doubt that what was captured on video off the coast of California was a missile launch, was clearly observed by NORAD, assessed by a four-star general in minutes and passed to the President immediately. That is the way the system works and heads fall if there is a failure. This is one of the most important tenets of national defense and its sole purpose of protecting the American people. Even the smallest failure in this system gets intense scrutiny at the highest level."
Interesting insight I had not seen before.

I just want to see the whole ten minutes of raw, unedited footage that was claimed to be shot by the copter cam.
All I've seen that was claimed as raw has been pointed out here on FR to have been edited, with a step-by-step reasoning as to why it was called out as being edited.

Really, really stupid, it was a jet contrail. An astute viewer even identified the inbound flight from Hawaii, and shot a very similar video the next day at the same time.

Every aircraft is required to have a transponder on board. Thus if there was no transponder signal recorded (as there must have been if this was an aircraft) it must have been something other than an aircraft. Seems simple enough.

Ten million people didn't miss a missile being launched right in front of them, nor did the missile radar at Ventura County Naval Base pick up anything (nor anything else for that matter.) Los Angeles’ airspace is the most monitored airspace in the nation. If a missile had launched within 40 miles of LAX, it would have been recorded from nine separate radar systems, excluding the inland systems or missile defense systems if it didn't penetrate high enough.
It was a plane contrail.
Oh, and by the way, yes, Americans did go to the moon.

“You cannot ask questions about this sort of thing on this site, too many govt moles to ridicule you into silence.”
Just because I’m a government mole, highly placed, and influential amongst the secret power elite (shhh don’t tell anyone) does not mean that ridicule is not duly deserved on this subject based on sheer idiocy alone.
I do not even have to turn on the mind-reading apparatus to know that your are sorely mistaken if you believe this to be a missile.
Now, if you refuse to comply and listen to reason, I WILL activate the mind-writing apparatus and adjust your opinion for you.
