I kinda like your solution. A bit flash and noisy, but, hey, it's not like we didn't warn anybody by refusing to fight two wars over this crap.

My own preference:

• Drumhead courtmartial on the quarterdeck of the Sterett, followed by

• Hanging for all survivors and

• Appearance of an American squadron off the homeport of the pirates, followed by general levelling of the place by NGF (got battleship? -- why not?).

That, or a raid by Big Ugly Fat Feller all the way from CONUS, just to demonstrate the capability for those not paying attention lately. What's the Somali word for "arclight"?
