I’ll say one thing about the Teamsters, they are more than just talk or cash suppliers. Back in the middle 1960’s I was a member of the Insurance debit salesman’s very weak union striking Metropolitan Life Insurance at Madison Square NYC. The Teamster’s, along with the Longshoremen and the Teacher’s helped us picket. Quite a culture clash.

I had an office in the Sperry Building next to Radio City.
We sold printing presses and service out of that location.
The union hit me for wages and more and more bennies for service (not sales). I fired them all and moved to Edison, NJ. Saved a ton. Got promoted too.

NY City is a different world.
It is so quick you better be able to respond or they will burry you.
Frankly, I loved it.
