NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Drivers who have filled up their car lately have probably experienced sticker shock at the pump. Gas prices keep going up.
"It's just getting higher and higher," said Nashville driver Robert Reynolds. "It's getting outrageous."
"It's ridiculous we have to pay this much for gas," said Tracy Nolan, another driver.
People pulling up to the pump this week are likely to be paying 4 cents more for gas compared to last week.
The average price for a gallon of unleaded in Nashville is $3.04 cents. Economists are predicting a surge in gas prices because of instability in the Middle East. There are some who say drivers could be paying $5 a gallon for gas by late summer.

Are you with the BFL?
LOL .. yeah that bike could take on anything I tell ya. though I would ride it everywhere. I put about 12,000 per season on it.
My buns and legs were like rock from all the vibration.
So, how many headlines have we seen regarding the rising Gas Prices? That would be ZERO, as in President ZERO.
Obama, the real Teflon President.
It meant bump for later.

In New Hampshire yesterday it was $3.12 for regular unleaded, $3.32 for premium. Wonder what it will tomorrow.
It is close to or more than $3.50 here even at the “cheapie” stations. I saw premium at $3.80 and $3.89 a gallon at Chevron and Shell stations.
I bought my 2008 F-250 diesel in August of 2008. Diesel was right around $4.90 a gallon. They couldn’t give them away so I got it for $20K off sticker. Then they gave me a voucher to get it filled up. Almost took 20gal - right around $100.
I believe the pricing referred to was for regular gasoline? Diesel did go through some strange pricing spikes. Will have to look for documentation on that.
The level that regular gasoline is priced today in my backyard.. Orange County, Ca... was never reached during the Bush years. This Prez is on a tear to rip apart this economy and inflict as much pain as possible on the American people. Monthly expense for gasoline is now surpassing the mortgage payment in our home.
We need a president who will say to hell with the courts.
A $ collapse will indeed do it. You’re correct. I didn’t go out far enough. My mistake. Sorry.
I pulled the trigger and bought BMW today! A little bit of buyer’s remorse, but that’ll go away real quick.
Better than buying GM!
Be safe - may it serve you well for a long time!
