Just Think Of Those Bogus ‘Sick’ Notes As Another Health Care Waiver For Unions By Ed Carson Sun., Feb. 20, 2011 3:36 PM ET Tags: Unions - Wisconsin - Doctors - Health Care - ObamaCare

Instapundit, Ann Althouse and many others have noted that real doctors are providing bogus “sick” notes to the Wisconsin teachers and other union members who skipped work (and shut down schools) to protest Gov. Scott Walker’s bill to curb the pay, perks and power of government-sector unions.

Sure, such bogus sick notes would be illegal for ordinary people, but government unions are a protected class. So just think of those notes as another health care waiver for unions.

They set a great example for the kids they teach. Teach them how to lie, cheat and steal. if that is not a reason to disband public schools nothing is.

If I were a student, it would have taught me that expecting any kind of work ethic from others is a hate crime.

One of my older daughters reminded me this morning about how much trouble she had gotten in when she was a senior and forged a note to get her out for senior ditch day. Who would have known ten years later the teachers themselves would be acting worse then the kids. Disgusting.

Any teacher that has participated in this Floor Show has completely lost all credibility and respect not only from the public but for themselves. They have crossed the Rubicon and have entered the point of no return!

” Sure, such bogus sick notes would be illegal for ordinary people, but government unions are a protected class. “

No, they aren’t *that* protected - if ‘bogus sick notes’ are presented by Government Employees for the purpose of getting ‘sick pay’ or ‘paid sick leave’, then the persons using these ‘bogus sick notes’ are committing the FELONY of USING FALSIFIED DOCUMENTS TO FRAUDULENTLY OBTAIN GOVERNMENT FUNDS, and may - should! - be arrested, prosecuted, convicted, and incarcerated.....

Why is virtually everybody insisting on giving these felons a “pass” for their criminal acts?????????

Nothing has been said about how many union cops called in sick. I’d like to see an attendance review of Wisconsin’s finest. D*mn union pukes were out there demonstrating against the very people (taxpayers) that wanted to reduce spending. Call in the National Guard and arrest these people.

"Below is text produced by MPS in an attempt to answer those questions:

Will there be discipline for teachers and others who called in sick to go to the protests in Madison?

Those who are AWOL (absent without leave) or who called in sick since the protests started in Madison will face disciplinary measures that will range from deductions in pay to suspensions or terminations. Cases will be reviewed individually. Severity of disciplinary action would vary by length of the absence, or other factors.

What expectation does Superintendent Thornton have for MPS employees during these protests?

Superintendent Thornton continues to assert that MPS employees should honor their contracts and their commitment to children and come to work when they are scheduled. Dr. Thornton has said that employees have a right to protest, but they must do it on their own time, outside of work hours. MPS does NOT pay staff to attend rallies. If we continue to see staff absences affecting our ability to provide educational services, Dr. Thornton will be forced to recommend to the Board that legal action be taken against the teachers’ union (MTEA)."

” range from deductions in pay to suspensions or terminations “

In the ‘alternate Universe’ I apparently grew up in, people who commit felonies are put in prison...

From WI school district: 'Sick' teachers face docked pay, other discipline

"Madison, Wisconsin school officials say union teachers who call in sick to attend protests face docked pay and possibly other disciplinary measures. According to Madison Metropolitan School District spokesman Ken Syke, school management informed teachers before the sick-out began that teachers calling in sick would have to prove that they were actually ill -- or they would be disciplined."........

........ This is the note that went out to employees on Tuesday:

Because of the high number of absences that have already been reported for tomorrow, Wednesday February 16, 2011, and based on the information that we have received that there may be numerous more absences called in, be advised that if you are absent from work Wednesday (Feb 16), Thursday (Feb 17) and/or Friday (Feb 18) for either personal illness or family illness, you are required to provide documentation from a medical provider supporting such absence. This documentation must state that you or the ill family member was seen by the medical provider and there was a medical basis for your absence. If you do not provide this documentation, you will not be allowed to use personal or family illness leave and your pay will be docked."........

........The spokesman says there is a "wide range of options" for discipline beyond docked pay but declined to specify what those might be. When asked whether teachers might be fired, he said, "Firing is probably not an option, at least for the whole group."

Too bad the truth about these fake doctor notes got out. lolol on them.

I think of them as an admission. Anybody who presents one is admitting he wasn’t really home sick.

Three doctors/professors from the university should lose medical license, job and face time. All teachers that turn in false documents need to be fired. The state could save a bunch of money by running ads for teachers $75,000 including bennies, I will bet that at least 100 aps for each job that needs to be filled (Heavy on the "Needs to be filled")
