She's a member of the First Family. By statutory law, she's entitled to Secret Service protection - which means travel on government aircraft, caravan by government motor vehicle etc. Are you saying, then, that this family and every family that comes after them, should have to foot the bill for their own Secret Service protection whenever they leave the confines of the White House? To me, that sounds exactly like what you're saying.

When the potus tells people they MUST sacrifice including giving up vacations then YES she should not spend one taxpayer dime for her pleasure.

If other Presidents have come out and told people they may have to sacrifice and give up their vacations then at that time I would expect none of that POTUS family to use our taxpayer money for a vacation.

But 0dumbo is such a complete hypocrit I don’t think you can find any other POTUS who has acted in the same manner about the taxpayer and vacations.
Not to begrudge them their precious vacations while millions are suffering and can’t afford vacations much along with rent, food etc. I would have thought with the winter snowfall being what it has been in the northeast, they might have found plenty of good skiing more locally, this would have reduced the travel expense for her much needed vacation.
