Excuse me, but "smaller government" is a means to the end of a healthier economy and job creation.
1. Cutting government spending (and borrowing) improves the availability of funds for investment.
2. Smaller government improves the regulatory atmosphere and, thus, the business climate.
3. A firm approach to the fiscal crisis by the GOP promises business that the problems will be addressed in a satisfactory and meaningful manner, thus boosting business confidence.
"Smaller government" means "more jobs".
