Egan refused to the pay the bill, which at one point surpassed $1,800 as the drinks flowed.
UFT officials also ignored questions about whether they were aware that Egan was accused in 2000 for involvement in a student-cheating scandal when he was a middle-school teacher.

Yeah, and these are the very people to whom many pay dues. For what? So they can eat at luxury places and bill the Union for their food? I wonder if SEIU has a union there.
