Hey Ernest, I've never actually even seen a flash flood, even when out in the desert camping during *heavy* rains..I visit my brother-in-law in Arizona between Havasu and Kingman. The terrain looks like a moon scape but there are (dry) "washes", some are HUGE that you can tell major amounts of water has flowed through. The funny thing is, I've been there in some heavy rains and there are NO puddles afterward...You can barely tell it even rained. It's hard to believe there can be flash floods in that soil.
You bet....And the reason why few if anyone live around those washes, is they would be long dead...They’re rushing rivers that disappear as fast as they appear.
Yep, you’re about to get hit hard. I used to live in Huntington Beach. (Marina High School grad) Now I live in the high desert of San Bernardino. When we get it, we get it hard. Joe Bastardi promised me a cold, dry winter. Cold I can deal with. Rain I could do without.
No rain here either......yet. The winds have lessened.
Uh Oh... another nonbeliever in Global FReezing!!!!!!!!!!!!!
405 was not so bad right now but our little stretch from la to orange county, 10 miles at most, had two ambulance accidents on it.
We do need more rain so I am ok with it. Want to go home, eat the beef stew in the crackpot, and go to bed early! Rainy days are cool.
Dang this iPad. Crockpot not crackpot!
LOL!
No, but I was at my son’s practice using my iPad. It always corrects words to what it THINKS I should be typing. It changed my crockpot to crackpot!
The worst was once I was writing a one-word text to my mom and it wrote “testes” instead of what I had wanted to say, but I’d hit send already. Excuse me, but I think Apple should NEVER REPLACE ANY WORD with testes! Just don’t! :)
Well...what can ya say? They’re going to get wet...
yep.
