Funny...he’s the one who suggested that collective bargaining was getting in the way of kids’ education. Look at his State of the Union address, where he praises a school that booted the union by getting waivers from the collective bargaining agreement.

Republicans should take the broad front approach to fighting unions and make them expend every bit of their money before 2012 even rolls round.

If they actually have to defend themselves, they will have to spend less time on the offense.

This also puts him in a position that he is working against the rest of the people in WI. If I’m not mistaken, he is supposed to be in a position that supports ALL people of the state.

Perhaps I’m missing something here......Since when has it been the job of the President of the United States to get in between the State and their employees? I’d like to know what money he’s using to fund his “support” for the union.

“Assault is a crime of violence against another person.” Isn’t the president worried that such violent rhetoric directed at his political opponent will inspire yet another crazed left-winger to resort to deadly violence.

Mr. President, please retrach your violent and hate filled statement.

the media (including Fox) is copying the TOTUS/union meme :

“eliminating collective bargaining rights”

...when in fact they’d still retain the collective bargaining for wages and work rules, JUST NOT for pensions and healthcare.

Oh the horror! having to contribute for some of your own pension!

I would like to know why Obama is supporting insurrection against elected officials. He is using his office to create civil unrest against a freely elected US government. This is not the country I remember.

Amen....If Boehner (or the GOP for that matter) had any cajones, they’d be SCREAMING about this.

This is really beyond belief. Has this happened before? Has a POTUS worked directly against a governor of a state? I don’t mean a little phone call here and there or a bit of pressure- but this is huge- it’s organized and powerful.

George W. Bush considered himself to be President of all the people

Obama only cares about those who support him.

Assault on Unions? It’s Zero Odinga and the unions who are throwing the punches all along now for a while... yeah... the “domestic abuse” card is living it up.

" Has a POTUS worked directly against a governor of a state?"

Eisenhower vs Wallace when the force integration of schools in Alabama occured, but that was a completely different animal. Ike was enforcing the law.

The president has no standing to organize or allocate resources of any kind to interfere with a state and it’s dealings with state employees. Take obama and the democrat national party to court and sue them.

At the very least tell them to FOAD. The same applies to directing Justice to interfere with the state of FL decision to not take money to implement high-speed rail.

That is incorrect. The bill only allows for collective bargaining of base wages. Not work rules or raises or anything else.

This is one the best things about this bill. I don’t know why some Freepers keep saying it’s not true.

Where is the RNC help to Wisconsin republicans?..
The issue is huge.. the Wisconsin DNC hinges on it..
The people turn against the Unions and the democrat machine will grind to a halt..

Same is true in Michigan and probably Minnesota.. as well..
The Iowa democrat party is limping already...
