Husband and I went to Bristol in August of 09. They interviewed him there before the Nationwide race and we were impressed that day with his humility and the fact that he gave a short testimony in the interview. He was just a jewel of a kid that day and we had not even heard of him. The interviews I’ve seen this past week and today have shown him to be just a quality young man. From what I can tell this could not have happened to a better kid. Even if he turns out to be a flash in the pan - he will have a memory like that of no other man.

My family also has a Yahoo fantasy race group. My husband is NOT a NASCAR fan but has a team just to keep in the loop. HE picked Trevor!!!

He looks like a very good driver as well. He did everything right to put himself in the front of the pack.
There are a lot of fast young drivers, but not so many who don’t screw up enough to take themselves out of the race when it counts. He had a lot of luck, but he kept himself out of wrecks like the one where he checked up while pushing Gordon as Gordon plowed into the car in front of him.

Can’t complain about seeing Bobby Labonte have a great run and seeing a Cinderella type of victory for the Wood Bros & Trevor Bayne. But I do smell a rat in that Bowyer’s 33 was again chosen as the “random inspection” car.
NASCAR picking up right where it left off.
Obsessive Self Destruction.

I think I jinxed Jr....late in the race I made a comment to the wife, "At least Jr has been able to avoid trouble this race.." :(
Crap!
But what a race that was!
Any idea what happened with Smoke and MM there at the last? They sure faded quick? Problem with Smoke, obviously.

Y’all missed a disastrous race that is over shadowed by a Story Book winner for a team that never gave up. Thanks for the threads this week WCG...

DW is clueless isn’t he?
Holds up a blank sheet of paper and says this is Bayne’s resume?
