KuBu was too worried about Smoke and Jr coming up behind ... left Regan out there all alone. Bad move.

This was inevitable with that many cars that close together this late in the race.

True that. Jr gave Smoke too much push. KuBu was the lucky dawg in that one... bumped by the trio, Smith takes the brunt.

Lap 197 — YELLOW FLAG NO. 15: Regan Smith gets turned by Kurt Busch. Denny Hamlin will head to pit road for new tires. Clint Bowyer sustains heavy damage. Dale Jr. escapes on the low side.
Lap 196 — David Ragan and Trevor Bayne join the party and lay down the fastest lap of the race. They’re running 3-4.
Lap 195 — Regan Smith moves to the front with a push from Kurt Busch.
Lap 194 — It’s a 10-car party up front as drivers settle into their final pairings.
Lap 193 — Eight cars are packed together up front. Clint Bowyer gets help from Kyle Busch and moves toward the front as Denny Hamlin loses touch with Ryan Newman.
Lap 192 — Ryan Newman and Denny Hamlin are fast up front. Clint Bowyer — in third — can’t catch the pair. Jamie McMurray is lapped.
Lap 190 — Dale Earnhardt Jr. slides to the side of Tony Stewart for some clean air. Soon, all drivers will be ignoring their temperature gauges as they race to the checkers.
Lap 188 — Tony Stewart and Dale Jr. are making a move toward the front. Ryan Newman and Denny Hamlin aren’t in a hurry to give up the lead.

Lap 199 — David Ragan and Trevor Bayne are out front and both cars have proved to be nothing short of lightning fast today. Behind them, Kurt Busch and Kyle Busch agree to work with each other on the restart. Dale Eanrhardt Jr. thinks his tire is going down on the No. 88 and he heads to pit road.
