What an insulting and ignorant bitch Lena Taylor is. She’s an insult to those who suffered under Hitler and to those brave souls who fought and died to defeat him.

Cry me a freakin’ river. Who put a gun to your head and told you had to be a teacher? Get a job in the private sector and see what the real world is all about. I live in New Jersey and the teachers union here is nothing but a bunch of over-paid thugs. People like you make me sick!

How short Liberal’s memories are. Remember how they were so against hate rhetoric after Tucson?

"It's very, very clear. In Wisconsin it's about what people can afford,"

Why does state want to op-out of agreements? Do the unions want more than they agreed to? Has tax revenues gone down? If the State can't afford what they contracted, they should lay off.

Look at how all the Democrat legislature members scurried to their rat holes out of state.

Major correction - not a "rat hole" - a RESORT! Wonder who's paying for that?? The Clocktower Resort in Rockford, Ill to be excact.

Nor forced to not to take a job as a teacher. Why didn't people grab one of these great jobs. The grass look 'greener' elsewhere?

The governor needs to get the National Guard in there and clear out the statehouse, get the Dems back on the reservation and have the vote.

Are you a public employee? Just asking!

Obviously those who did ‘’grab’’ these jobs see themselves as some kind of protected class. We make our own choices in life. I’m just sick and f’ing tired of everytime some teacher getting a raise my property taxes go up.

Agree with your first sentence.

However, it’s about the everyone else who has been paying the over compensated salaries of those in government - while making sacrifices and taking cutbacks for years while the unions continue to ask for more and to be immune from economic reality.

The bill has come due. And the money is gone Bub.

I have a question: Is the amount of monthly dues these idiots pay for union thugs to hold School districts hostage to their demands more than what they are being asked to pony up?

Don’t know, but it is all about making WI a right to work state - meaning the unions will not be able to force anyone to join — it is about the money.

He won’t. He has the votes.

Maybe not. There is a newly elected Rebub wessel that is alreeady squishy and is introducing a very watered down bill - in essence nuliflying the original Walker bill.

The phoniness about the protests is that, contrary to all the public claims of the “protesters” the issue is NOT directly about “education” or even “teacher layoffs”.

There are solutions, within the boards of education budgets together with what changes the teachers are and are not willing to accept, whereby priorities could be adjusted to make substantial cuts outside the classroom and with teachers accepting some compromises, with the result that no “layoffs” or fewer layoffs would be necessary.

But the local school boards are not willing to overhaul the priorities of their budgets nor will the teachers compromise their demands.

In effect, it is those who are protesting who actually would prefer the end result to be “teacher layoffs” so that at least for the school boards' spending priorities and the remaining teachers they would be employing, all their perks and prerequisites would remain in place; and they could thereby help create "smaller class size" conditions that they claim are so "damaging to eduction". From the point of view of the protesters, in their logic, its a win win situation.

The real world thins the herd from time to time. Productive, profitable companies keep people employed. It’s the law of economics.

And just to be clear - government seems to have a surplus of overpaid, stupid, lazy people. Capiche?

I don't know, is it just me or does the above make no sense? I thought that if you lay off teachers you have larger class sizes....lol.

If I were the Governor I'd privatize the schools.
The idea of Government schools may have been workable 100 years ago --- now (and for the past 40 years) they've just be breeding grounds for unionism and communism. They preach a hate-America, hate Western Civilization doctrine. Just pull the plug. American families will be better off home schooling or sending their children to the private schools of their choice.
