They’ve abandoned their offices. Procedures should be immediately initiated to fill the vacant offices with special elections.

I made the same suggestion when this happened in Texas.

In all seriousness, what does it take to declare a legislative office vacant and call a special election?

Does the officer holder have to die? If someone just refuses to show up, does the state have to wait until the next regularly scheduled election?

Anyone from WI know the details?
