A main leader of Iran’s opposition was reported missing on Thursday and both the opposition “green movement” and Iran’s hardliners issued calls for street rallies, escalating tensions after the reemergence of street protests and their brutal suppression on Monday.

The daughters of the missing opposition leader, Mir Hussein Moussavi, told an opposition Web site that they had had no word from either of their parents since Tuesday and feared they had been detained. Security forces have surrounded their home, and all communications have been cut.

On Wednesday, the Web site of another opposition leader, Mehdi Karroubi, reported that the house of his eldest son had been raided and damaged by security officers seeking to arrest him.

Iranian thug mullas don’t like it so much when they are the target. I hope the Iranian people can rise up this time and take down their evil oppressors.

Where is the media on this one? Why are they not reporting with glee every day from Tehran? Why isn’t the Obama administration flip flopping back and forth like they did with Egypt?

Where are the Wisconsin Democrats? There might be more we could do about those missing opposition politicians.

.
Won’t happen. The oppressors are not afraid to spill blood — lots and lots of it if necessary.

“My money is on him being in a coma.”

That's optimistic in my opinion. The Iranian government said they would all be corpses.

I am afraid if they find him at all, he will be in more than one piece.

They aren’t allowed in; any who are there have to be careful what they say.
