Regarding "The data said that the average teacher is paid better for 9 months work than the average worker"which means "what" in and of itself. The average worker includes captains of industry and janitors, and everybody in between.

What we need to know is how are public school teachers paid compared to other college graduates of comparable education levels.

I can't vouch for the accuracy of this but it seems reasonable. I think teachers should make as much money as their skill and dedication allow, based on merit, not some union contract, that's my real issue.

For instance, how are senior teachers (with a masters) paid in comparison to LAWYERS ~ bet that'd be interesting eh!

Lawyers, geez, you trying to kill me! Unions, lawyers and the media, I need a drink.
