One of our grandsons is forever touting the superiority of Canada's medicine--young head full of mush from taking journalism from lib profs. On the other hand, our son-in-law recently skied in a Canadian resort and got into a conversation with a Canadian MD. S-i-Law asked about Canadian medicine The dr. said, 'well, if you can wait 3 months for an MRI, you're ok." Then he asked how long is the wait in the US. S-i-law replied that it depends. If you are in the ER, about 30-60 minutes; if in your dr's office, same day or next day.

Then Canadian said,"Yes, but that's only for people who have ins." Son-in-law replied that it is everybody.Their hospital has a sign up that medical treatment CANNOT be denied, as do most US hospitals. The Canadian was stunned. But Obamacare is going to change all that and give us BETTER care? Oh, yeah!

One of our grandsons is forever touting the superiority of Canada's medicine ...
My son's brother-in-law is an orthopedic surgeon and recently did a one year fellowship in Vancouver, BC.
I spoke to him when he returned and he said Canadian H/C wasn't as bad as he thought it was going to be ... it was TEN TIMES worse.
He mentioned the MRI wait list (3-6 months) and said if you miss your appointment for any reason, you go to the bottom of the list again.
